The Faculty of Health Sciences at Lokman Hekim University was established in the 2018–2019 academic year together with the foundation of the university and has been successfully carrying out its academic activities since then. The faculty aims to educate competent healthcare professionals who are scientifically minded, ethically responsible, and equipped with strong practical skills to meet the needs of society.
With its seven academic departments, the faculty offers a multidisciplinary academic environment, delivering education through an integrated approach that combines theoretical knowledge with practical training.
Education at the Faculty of Health Sciences is supported by laboratory work, simulation-based training, and clinical internships in addition to classroom-based theoretical courses. Students begin benefiting from practical training and internship opportunities from their first year, in line with their curricula, at hospitals affiliated with the Lokman Hekim Health Group.
The Vital Simulation Center, located within the faculty, enables students to experience clinical environments and real-case scenarios in a safe and controlled setting. This allows students to develop their professional skills before direct patient interaction begins.

The Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Lokman Hekim University is a four-year undergraduate program that trains qualified health professionals who assess, prevent, and plan intervention processes for speech, language, voice, communication, and swallowing disorders that significantly affect quality of life. Graduates of the program earn the professional title of Speech and Language Therapist, a field recognized as an independent healthcare profession with defined responsibilities under the regulations of the Ministry of Health.
Speech and language therapists work with individuals across the lifespan, from early childhood to older adulthood, providing individualized therapy in areas such as speech and language delays, fluency disorders (stuttering), voice disorders, aphasia, dysphasia, articulation disorders, and swallowing disorders. The profession plays a critical role in supporting communication, social participation, and functional independence, making it a highly respected and in-demand discipline within healthcare systems.
Education at Lokman Hekim University combines strong theoretical foundations with intensive practical training. Nutrition and Dietetics
